Capital Photo History Tours is back for its second year with lessons learned from the first season.
1. We lowered the price from $79 to $50 per person. But to tell you a secret, they’re really $25 because we sell everything through Goldstar at half-price. So, the three-hour photo tours with both a photographer and licensed guide (me) are just $25.
2. We’re running four different themes based on last year’s popularity. A monuments/memorials tour from Lincoln to Jefferson, Arlington National Cemetery, Lincoln Assassination and Capitol Hill. We’re doing each twice. Maybe we’ll do something else, but that’s the schedule for now.
3. There’s no predicting the cherry blossoms so we’re having the memorials tour on March 30 in the middle of traditional peak bloom and if they’re creating a pink canvas great, we’ll spend time on them. If they’re not, we’ll do a couple extra memorials.
4. We changed photographers. Angela Pan’s schedule is just too busy to keep her — the price of success — so I’m switching to two family photographers who are both award-winners and professionals. We’re a family business now to make tours even friendlier.
